The Theory of Everything 2014 official trailer / Movies

A few months ago I was writing about a movie made after the life of a man that changed the world as we know it. Yes, of course, it’s about The imitation game and Alan Turing, and for the moment I’m not in the mood to teach you a history lesson (google it). This new movie, The theory about everything, take  a look at the relationship between the famous physicist Stephen Hawking (another man that changed the world / the Universe, or, at least our perspective about it) and his wife and it will get into cinema January 1st, next year.

47 Ronin 2013 official trailer / Movies

When I’ve heard about this movie with Keanu Reevs and Rinko Kikuchi and directed by Carl Rinsch my first reaction was:what the fuck? I am still having a hesitation in believing that some guys from Hollywood will put the story on the American screens on Christmas 2013. The legend of the 47 ronins is one of the greatest 18th century Japan stories, and as far as I have watched Hollywood movies the last decades, they rather trash any good story then get it right.

You know the story, right? And the historical background? You can find some details here: 47 Ronin 2013 official trailer / Movies / My slice of internet / Oradea, Bihor, Romania.

Out of the Furnace 2013 official trailer

This movie should be interesting to watch: besides a good number of well known American actors, it’s a gripping and gritty drama about family, fate, circumstance and justice.

A new witch and knights movie (an 18th century adventure story) is going to be release at the end of this year, the beginning of the next year: master Gregory (Jeff Bridges) is a knight who had imprisoned the malevolently powerful witch, Mother Malkin (Julianne Moore), centuries ago. But she has escaped and is seeking vengeance.

R.I.P.D. 2013 official trailer

Well… someone has a very good sense of humor… R.I.P.D. comes from Rest In Peace “Police” Department… a movie that hits theaters on July 19, 2013. It’s not a horror movie (I think), it’s a comedy (I hope because I’m already getting some fun watching the trailer).

Movies The Family 2013 official trailer

This new movie with Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer and Tommy Lee Jones should be quite interesting to watch: the Manzoni family, a notorious mafia clan, is relocated to Normandy, France, under the witness protection program. Their fitting in soon becomes challenging as their old habits die hard.

Movies Not another happy ending (2013) official trailer

I am sure thatKaren Gillan‘s departure that happened last year was hearthbreaking for many Doctor Who fans. It was for sure that her carrier will continue with other roles, but I am still curious about how different she will be fromAmelia Amy Pond, the Doctor’s companion that made her famous around the world.

Kyudo documentary: One shot, one life – official trailer by Empty Mind films

Besides Kendo (the way of the sword), Kyudo (the way of the bow – the archery) is one of the most remarcable Japanese martial arts. As far as I notice (I only used a bow several times, but I practice kendo) both have a very similar state of mind – you have to live it to fully understand it. I copied (the quote at the end of the article) the description in the Youtube video because it offers a summary, a little perspective about the martial art.
